Why does my toddler need a multivitamin?
Studies have shown that over 90 percent of American children fail to meet the recommended consumption of vegetables and fruits per day. To help address the nutritional gaps that can come with picky eating, we created these multivitamins to deliver essential nutrients your child needs in an easy, more convenient form.
Specifically, the 19 vitamins and minerals in our formula help support key areas of children’s health and development. We focused on providing essential B vitamins, which play an important role in supporting healthy growth, brain development, and nervous system function. Our formula includes key B vitamins such as folate and vitamin B12 in their methylated forms making them readily available for the body to use.
Vitamin D is another essential nutrient included in our formula, helping support healthy bones, teeth, immune function, and overall growth and development.
Another important nutrient that kids may not get enough of in their daily diets is zinc, which plays a role in normal immune function, growth, and cognitive development.
Our well-rounded formula is designed to provide sufficient amounts of these essential nutrients and more. Why in powder form not gummy, not chewable tablets?
Why in powder form not gummy, not chewable tablets?
Gummy vitamins can be filled with pork-based additives that are derived from pork skin, beef skin or beef bones. As with other sweets, these fillers can be stuck in your child’s teeth and contribute to cavities in the teeth. Children are likely to be drawn to the sweet taste and candy-like consistency of gummy vitamins and can be easy to overeat.
As a multivitamin powder, we have more vitamins and minerals than a gummy or stickpack which can include additional fillers to retain their shape and form. Our multivitamin is made with 19 essential vitamins and minerals and 15 fruits and vegetables with zero added sugar.
Chewable tablets may potentially be a choking hazard for your kids. Children under the age of 4 are at a high risk of choking while eating. Young children are still learning how to chew food properly, and they often swallow their food whole. Their small airways can become easily blocked by small round objects if not chewed properly.
Children may not like the taste of a chewable tablet, but mixing our powder with your child’s favorite food, your child can get the daily nutrients they need without noticing they are taking a vitamin!
